Score Board: guardians of the Galaxy

While the average viewer does not automatically handle this, the overall sound of the film is decisive for our pleasure. As regards the composers, it's almost like it's engineered their own movies from filmmakers, increased activity, the whimsical drama, and cells for romance. What is unique about hearing the music, film, then home and hears themselves. Mark a large composition is a movie that perfectly complement the independent listening, creating new images of all of your own in your head.

This week we are going back into the world of Marvel for a song in the heart of the guardians of The Galaxy, from regular collaborator James Gunn Tyler Bates. Bates is known for a more modest Genre stuff, so is very familiar territory for him, as Marvel is trying to, at least one of its decorated composers yet. There are many things to discuss, and it can be dull, spoilers, let's try not to mention when some plot details.

Who is responsible?

Tyler Bates is on the loose, moving between two worlds, television, movies and video games, often contribute only one track or two. His score for horror films such as the Devil's rejects, see No Evil and Halloween tend to be minimalist but heavy, relying on atonal, grinding vibration. He has been to capitalize on new horizons in the mid-aughts in his work with Zack Snyder: he melded electronic material with traditional Horn orchestration based on 300. But his most ambitious enterprise was the policemen, which spotlights a variety of skits and the proposals of the other score, from the dreamy electronic vibration of Vangelis ' Blade Runner's themes in the relentless sound work of the Dark Knight Hans Zimmer. Surprisingly, Bates did not appear on the soundtrack for three years, his last work credited film was for little thriller The Darkest Hour. This is his third collaboration with Director James Gunn, the following slide and Super.

What is that sound? Bates scores are usually overshadowed by the collaboration with the directors, who adore the pop-music. Such as Bates may not provide as much recorded material as some other composers, when working with someone like Gunn or Rob Zombie. However, the tone will be part of the creation of this world, so Bates was large, producing a series of sloppy, big budget tracks that give the audience a tough sell, looking for the General Genre of excitement. Although the guardians of the Galaxy has a number of pop music recorded moments, there are a few action scenes that need great songs for it, as is the tradition with a great sensation.

The end result is quite anonymous, in fact, and it would not be surprising if more powerful moments are borrowed from other composers: it seems that huge chunks of this score to borrow from Brian Tyler work on Thor: the dark world, while also feeling crowded Alan Silvestri Avengers glory there. There is no consistency of the tracks, as if Bates is trying on different cliche stunt, such as staccato violin of crescendos or vibrating synth. Listen to independent, separate from the film feels like a few score playing all at once, no one too inspired. Bates wins a prize, the majority of the writing no more interesting rhythms make considerable callbacks, and many simply dissolve thoroughly into each other.

Do you feel with the Marvel movies, for now, composers were aided by the fact that the heroes of some of the films were easier to understand, well defined, which leads to the slightly an anthemic compositions. But no one knows the guardians, which means that the Bates needed to find meaning to a relatively amorphous team concept. What could have helped was Gunn insistence that Bates to upload a couple of tracks in advance so that it could make a movie with the original kernel. It is easy to imagine most of this music that Bates just had no idea what he was scoring.

Standout tracks:

The character gets his own theme of Groot and wonderful moment in the film, where he shines light for the crew, a beautiful, muted version of the game, called Groot keys. Surprisingly it's smaller moments of the score, not the Bates forte, that shines the brightest, and this seems to effectively combine the sound of a big studio with its own minimalist, low budget Bates synth feel.

How it plays in the film:

As mentioned earlier, the moments with Groot bot, mainly because they do not speak too much, allowing his theme to resonate. The schranzu songs underline the action sequences of the film quite well, with the main theme of surfacing during a moment of heroism. But mostly, it is not necessary to hear the music, often recedes into the film considerable pop-music catalog.

The perfect listening:

Your child needs a super heroic music for the presentation of the school, but you don't want to play too familiar? Bingo. Your child will love you.

What's in my IPod?:

-Tyler Bates, the Watchmen: I went with the men in the hope that it would make some sense for a new South Africa concert Bates. Bates's work on this film remains unparalleled, one of the undervalued element of the controversial film. Each character gets his own theme, and you can tell where and what classic films, from which they are derived.

-This, Duna: it was a bad idea to use the soft rock band score vaguely European epic? Maybe there is just nothing complicated or far-reaching as Frank Herbert source material. Divorced from the era, though, it is fun to listen to, he leaned on the more classical approach with elements of rock, strewn about.

-Fernando Velazquez, Hercules. Inexperienced Valezquez delivers a scores of swords and sandals adventure really corny old school. I listened to it several times and it is really simplistic and engrossing, fun time nowhere with a limited sonic experimentation. Listen, if you want to March into battle, but I don't want the final result.

Ghostbusters 3 May to pass the scepter for women

Paul Feig was on a bit of a roll in the past few years. His foray into feature filmmaking is poorly received by minors, in 2011 the silenced all critics with hit of the bridesmaids. Not only was the film a blockbuster success-pulling in $ 288 million worldwide reported 32.5 million dollars budget on-continues with The heat, which is on the same level (which is $ 229 million to $ 43 million budget). He is currently in post-production on the next project, Melissa McCarthy-led action-comedy Spy, but now the messages say it is ready to jump on his first great series.

Insider sources inform that The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Feig is now the number one candidate taking the Director's Chair for Ghostbusters 3. The position is vacant from March, as Ivan Reitman-filmmaker behind the Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II-decided to step in after the death of the original asked Harold Ramis. Reitman is still onboard as a producer, and Sony continues to move forward with a script that would be written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (even if it has been modified since graduating from Ramis ').

At this point, Feig is the favorite, but it is not yet a done deal. The Director of "showed interest" in the project, but formal negotiations have not yet started. Business report makes no mention of other directors, who are potentially for work, but they mention 22 Jump Street Phil Lord and Chris Miller-who had been rumored to work just one day after Reitman left his post. THR says that the message of the Lord and Miller are inaccurate, although addressed the story when we talked with them in June.

While Director of the search dragged on, really interesting tidbit just dropped into the middle of the new report, it is noted that the film will focus on the women's team of Ghostbusters-which in fact does Feig solid choice. Not only the two last two Feig's features were the female-driven (three if you include the Spy), was also a brilliant mind behind the television series freaks and geeks-that centered on Linda Cardellini angsty teenager character Lindsay Weir and her personal struggles, growing up in the mid-80s Michigan. I was too surprised if some of the many funny women, which in the past has collaborated with Feig wind join on this new adventure.

Ghostbusters 3 to start production at the beginning of the year 2015, and while Sony has not set a release date yet, probably we can assume that a theatrical release happens sometimes in 2016. Dan Aykroyd is committed to return as Dr. Raymond Stantz, when Bill Murray said, but returns as Dr. Peter Venkman. Ernie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddmore, is a bit of a question mark at this stage, as he was quoted, he said, "there cannot be another Ghostbusters without Harold."

You want to see Paul Feig took over the reins of the Ghostbusters 3? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder on Man of Steel
Due to the fact that the man of steel more than 660 million dollars around the world, was very little hope that Zack Snyder and Director David Goyer I t return to the sequel, and this assumption was proven true when Batman in Superman: the Dawn of Justice was announced at Comic-Con in 2013 with Snyder directing and working with Goyer to develop the story. While Goyer wrote the original draft screenplay, finally, Academy Award winning screenwriter Chris Terrio Argo picked up the pen. Production started with the planned hit on Ko 6 may 2016. And what's more Snyder is now officially attached to direct the upcoming film Justice League, which in the Batman, Superman will lead directly into the.Batman v Superman logo
When Warner Bros. announced that they would move forward with the movie, Superman/Batman, that the person belongs to a plot synopsis, tells us about what the movie is, but the title to provide us with an interesting tip. While we expect that they will eventually fighting on the same side at the end of the story, the name of the Batman in Superman: the Dawn of Justice suggests that the Dark Knight and the man of steel will be from the film as enemies. In shots on Comic-Con San Diego 2014 was proposed, that the man of steel has a big beef with the Caped Crusader as the latter with the former, but it is still unclear. How the story will deal with all of the major supporting characters also remains a mystery.Henry Cavill as Superman
Following the footsteps of Marvel Studios and begins to build a larger film universe, the Warner Bros. doing Batman in Superman: the Dawn of Justice establish a new view of the Caped Crusader and build on what has already been established with the man of tomorrow. Star Wars Episode VII: Darth Vader showed up to play the wrestler

If you really want to be an actor, starts as a professional wrestler is not the worst way to go about it. The rock is one of the biggest stars in the world. Bautista has played a major role in guardians of the Galaxy and Hulk Hogan was in a series of Rocky. The overlap may occur on a semi-regular basis, therefore, is the latest Star Wars, says it is not t is immediately buried in the garden.

The former WWE Champion Sheamus recently went back to Ireland to spend a little time. While there, supposedly lived near Skellig Michael, who just so happen to where Star Wars: Episode VII shot. Most people would do with coincidence to believe, but according to the Irish Mirror, there he was, because he could appear as Darth Vader in the upcoming movie. Of course, it is quite absurd, but Sheamus has actually played famous villain on a promotional tour before, and if it appears to the Darth Vader, he will likely plays a large, invisible dude in a black suit and voiced by James Earl Jones.

As a true showman Sheamus did absolutely nothing to dispel rumors when she got his attention on Twitter

As our sister site giant freakin Robot pointed out there with almost no scenario that would see Sheamus plays modern Darth Vader would be a giant freaking disaster. He (really old spoiler alert) he died decades ago, and he doesn t need to be brought back through some magic, hocus pocus crap that would in turn franchises in the joke. It's been said that could appear, flashback or a vision, that of the characters has. Both of these scenarios are believable, and they even add some of the evolution of key figures, if properly processed.

More than likely, this will be the reputation of the pass without Sheamus appears in Star Wars: Episode VII, but I'd say it will be the worst thing in the world if he, at least, it was in the above conditions.

Transporter legacy hits theaters next year

Jason Statham may no longer be behind the wheel as the transporter, but Frank Martin is still alive. Statham doing his time as a heroic courier in three hit movies, but as he moved away, EuropaCorp was planning to use the electoral law. And now their plans have kicked in full force.

EuropaCorp has announced that March 16, 2015 The Transporter link brings to the big screen. The Film is the first of the trilogy and will bring us to the beginning of Martin leading up to the events of the original film. It is directed by Camille Delamarre, who made his debut this spring, as the man behind the brick houses. It seems that your new Frank Martin Ed Skrein, that game of Thrones fans might recognize the Daario Naharis as. Will probably sway Frank Martin trademark bald Dome, but here it is on the agenda in the event that you missed him.

skrein

Transporter Jason Statham is a Nice Guy Ritchie the day-player action icon overnight. As Frank Martin, the ex-special forces he now delivered goods from point A to point b., of course, he would always break the rules and examine the package, and finds would inevitably lead him to kick a bunch of fools in the face. Silly Transporter 2 was the greatest movie series in America, but Transporter 3 made a spectacular $ 108 million worldwide. Statham probably seen weakening the quality of films and their smaller profile in America and decided to bail (why does he The mechanic 2??). But there's still money to be here, and the property has great potential for growth in the checkout. Unfortunately, all due respect, Skrein is Statham hard luck, kid.

Statham is soon to be released The Expendables (3), The Legacy transport hit the screen at the same time on the transporter TV series airs on cable. The Show has hit different areas around the world and will soon debut on TNT in America. Chris Vance (Rizzoli & Islands) and Violante Placido (Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance), the movie also has the continuing adventures of Frank Martin. This character is one time a dude. The Transporter heritage could be the beginning of new concessions on the screen? And that he chose something other than "Legacy" the Slap at the end of the title? Jason Bourne must be PISSED.

Megan Fox says the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Haters to f ** k

A new restart of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is accompanied by controversy from the very beginning. If you want to start, of course, there were those who personally feel that restart was really necessary, but then the project started dealing with public involvement of Michael Bay, with minefields, extraterrestrial origin, misleading quotation marks indicating that William Fichtnera as the Shredder, the turtles and other snoutless. Fans have spent many months to complain online, but now that the film is almost out, Megan Fox has a message to all haters: "fuck."

This message was delivered earlier today at a press conference of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, CINEMAblend attended in Los Angeles. The Panel, which also included co-star, Will Arnett, Director Jonathan Liebesman and a number of writers with the movie and the producers were asked how they felt about some of the resistance to their film online. Fox was quick to respond, and he began by referencing a Michael Bay series, which began its career:

"Let me tell you something about these people. How much money do transformers 4? Exactly so. You people can complain that they go to the theater. Re going to love her and if you don t love that shit and that, with the end of it. "

With a tad bit odd that this is actually the second time in the last year alone, that someone from the big blockbuster franchises said part of their fans to "fuck off." Some of you may remember last September when screenwriter/producer Bob Orci chose those exact same words to publicly criticise his fan film Star Trek into the darkness. I think the big difference is that Megan Fox with the words are more preemptive. If you buy a ticket, and he hates the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Megan Fox with "fuck off" will be waiting for you after their theatre.

It's worth noting that casting with Megan Fox in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made a lot of anger from fans back in February of last year, which could very well explain her passion in this way. A look back at the comments section since she first signed on a new blockbuster, you ll notice quite a lot of negativity towards her, mainly thanks to her connection with Michael Bay. Hell even the TMNT co-creator Peter Laird was a vocally negative about her cast online. It is not hard to understand why she would feel that way.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to theaters next weekend, specifically at 8. August and Megan Fox and Will Arnett of the film features William Fichtnera, Whoopi Goldberg, k. Todd Freeman, Danny Woodburn, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson and MINAE Noji.

Bill Murray cast as Baloo in the Jungle Book

You never know when or where is Bill Murray will appear. If this is a Wes Anderson movie, in this case, is a pretty good chance. But The Jungle Book is not a Wes Anderson movie, it's a Disney film, directed by Jon Favreau and Bill Murray voicing the role of baloo. Murray joins the top cast votes, which now includes Christopher Walken, Giancarlo Esposito, Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong ' o, Idris Elba, and Scarlett Johansson, who played alongside Murray in lost in translation.

To celebrate the news, Jon Favreau posted this notice, offering a nod teasy Caddyshack, but without direct mention of Murray of ...

(function (d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d. getElementsByTagName (s) [0]; if ((d) document.getElementById (id)) return; js = d. createElement (s); js.id = id; js. src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js # xfbml = 1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore (js, fjs);}(document, ' script ', ' facebook-jssdk '));

Disney has since then deliver a notification confirming that Murray is Baloo in the Jungle Book Favrou 's.

BAGHEERA-Ben Kingsley
Michal-Lupita Nyong ' o
Shere Khan-dris Elba

Based on the book by Rudyard Kipling, the jungle book focuses on a young boy who is raised by animals in the jungle. Phil Harris voiced the role of Baloo in Disney's 1967 animated adaptation of the story (pictured above). He sings about "the bare necessities, the animated Baloo was carefree and full of wisdom to the simple living and a carefree existence. It will be great to see Murray on the character in the story adaptation Favreau. It won't be the first classical character, that Murray lent his voice either. While he is better known for live action role, Murray voiced Garfield in the role in the 2004 film of the same name, and the 2006 sequel that followed. The conviction of Badger in fantastic Mr. Fox.

Disney's The Jungle Book plan to release 9 October 2015 in 3D.

See Baloo is a great song from the Disney animated film after the jump ... ....

Elle Fanning To Play Mary Shelley For Wadjda Director

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
She's played a dream girl, a princess, and a ghost. Now 16-year-old Elle Fanning is set to play the queen of horror, bringing to life the story of Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein.

THR reports Elle Fanning has signed on to front A Storm In The Stars, a romantic drama that will unfurl the love story that developed between charming poet Percy Shelley and a 17-year-old aspiring writer named Mary Wollstonecraft. Within a year of meeting, the pair would marry and Mary would go on to write the novel that is still impacting the horror genre. But despite her early entry to love and legacy-defining prose, Mary Shelley's story was not without drama.

The script by Emma Jensen will draw attention to how Mary Shelley was a woman far ahead of her time. She came from a family of intellectuals, and so was educated in a fashion that was unusual for a young woman. And with it she chose to write genre stories, another usual move. A Storm In The Stars sounds like it will offer a meaty role for Elle Fanning, who, like her sister Dakota, is quickly earning a reputation as a stellar ing?nue.

After years landing small roles in mature dramas like Babel and Reservation Road, Elle Fanning had a major breakthrough with Super 8, essentially stealing the movie from its everyboy lead Joel Courtney. Next she won critical notice with a strange but captivating supporting role in Francis Ford Coppola's Twixt then as the mesmerizing lead of Sally Potter's Ginger & Rosa. This year she's a major part of the box office smash that is Maleficent, in which she plays Princess Aurora. But A Storm In The Stars could be a terrific venue for Fanning to grow as an actress.

Making the film even more enticing is that it will be Haifaa Al-Mansour's follow-up to her critically adored narrative debut Wadjda. You might recall that this coming-of-age drama, which I had the pleasure to review out of the Tribeca Film Festival, was the first feature film to be shot entirely within Saudi Arabia. Even more remarkable, Al-Mansour is a woman, and the only female filmmaker Saudi Arabia currently claims, in part because of a society that subjugates women in many aspects of public and professional life. I couldn't be happier to hear that Al-Mansour has a film in the works so soon. And that it's one that is so promising from its inception is just gravy.

On top of that, Al-Mansour seems a perfect pick for the helm of A Storm In The Stars as it?s a drama that seems to focus on a heroine who refuses to be hemmed in by the norms of her oppressive society. This was a theme in Wadjda as well, as that winsome movie focused on the title character, an adolescent girl who dreamed of owning a bicycle of her own, despite the fact that it's looked down on for girls to do such a thing.

Befitting of its subject matter, A Storm In The Stars is a film that is written by a woman (Emma Jensen), about a woman (Mary Shelley), directed by a woman (Haifaa Al-Mansour) and produced by women (Amy Baer, Joannie Burstein, and Rebecca Miller through Gidden Media). Such a thing is exceedingly rare, and so is noteworthy whatever your politics.

From here, it'll be interesting to see who Al-Mansour picks to play the love-struck poet, opposite Elle Fanning's Mary. For now, A Storm In The Stars is seeking financing with an eye toward shooting in 2015.

a 24-hour Music Marathon biopic

This weekend, the audience gets a chance to Groove and excitement on the exploits of James Brown in on wake up, depicting its history as an exciting, colorful and loot the impressive heritage. It's not the first musical biopic and it won't be the last, but it doesn't seem to give listeners the allegations would you expect from a movie with great melodies and almost non-stop dancing. So what 24 hours?

This latest Marathon in fact runs a little long lasts from noon to 12: 30 the following day. But it was an effort to avoid simply listing the best of the genre, instead of focusing on the diverse and completely different collection of short stories from legends such as Bob Dylan, curiosities, such as Glenn Gould, the titans as the Notorious b.i.g. and tragedy like Kurt Cobain. The music you could imagine is here, in a 24-hour marathon of a biographical movie music.

cash

We'll start at noon to the sweet voices of Johnny Cash. Drama directed by James Mangold is actually the highest grossing musical biographical film of all time, and when you notice why: fragile relationships, per core (great acted Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon), defeated defeated a summary of the rock star life, living vicariously, and an unmatched musical legends.

Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, the Muvico Rosemont, and inside the Dome at Rosemont Ballpark for several film premieres. V/H/S/2 codirectors "The Mo brothers" will debut their Killers, which sounds deliciously violent. From the producer of Cheap Thrills and Jodorowsky's Dune, Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch's occult tale Starry Eyes reminds us just how far some people will go for fame. There's also the Kat Dennings-starring Suburban Gothic, directed by Excision's Richard Bates Jr. Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead will be on hand to toss some Nazi zombies into the mix. A panel honoring John Carpenter and an Evil Dead marathon are just a few of the other highlights.

Dig into the current itinerary, below, and buy your plane tickets to Chicago immediately. The unique event is guaranteed to be fan approved, horror happy, and, well, awesome.

(Director: Jordan Rubin, Writers: Jordan Rubin, Al Kaplan, Jon Kaplan)An action-packed horror/comedy in which a group of college kids staying at a riverside cabin are menaced by a swarm of deadly zombie beavers.Yes, really. That's the plot!(Directors: The Mo Brothers, Writers: Takuji Ushiyama, Timo Tjahjanto)A dark look into the minds of two men with nothing in common: Nomura, a self-obsessed serial killer residing in Tokyo and Bayu, a failing journalist who lives in Jakarta. Connected through a series violent incidents, both men inexplicably start to feed off each other. (Not literally). Co-directors "The Mo Brothers" (Macabre, V/H/S/2) deliver an epic tale that works as action, suspense, and disturbing horror at the same time..(Director: Marc Carrete, Writers: Marc Carrete, Mike Hostench)Written by Mike Hostench (Deputy Director of Sitges Film Festival), Asmodexia documents five days in the lives of an exorcist and his granddaughter working in the Barcelona area. If you think you've seen every exorcism angle imaginable, prepare to be surprised. And a little grossed out.(Director: Richard Bates Jr., Writers: Richard Bates Jr., Mark Bruner)Raymond can channel the paranormal, but he's afraid of chatting with a cute girl.. Kicked out of his big city apartment, Raymond returns home to his overbearing mother, ex-jock father, and beer-bellied classmates. But when a vengeful ghost terrorizes the small town, Ray recruits Becca, a badass local bartender, to help solve the mystery. From the director of the admirably strange Excision, and starring Matthew Gray Gubler, Ray Wise, and Kat Dennings.(Director: Kevin Kolsch, Dennis Widmyer, Writers: Kevin Kolsch, Dennis Widmyer)A hopeful young starlet uncovers the ominous origins of the Hollywood elite and enters into a deadly agreement in exchange for fame and fortune. From the producer of Cheap Thrills and Jodorowsky's Dune, Dennis Widmyer & Kevin Kolsch's Starry Eyes is an occult tale of ambition, possession, and the true cost of fame. Leading lady Alex Essoe is an absolute revelation, but there's a lot for horror fans to get behind here.(Director: The Vicious Brothers, Writers: The Vicious Brothers)A group of friends on a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods find themselves terrorized by alien visitors, who promptly chase everyone all over the place. So it's a slasher movie, a suspense thriller, and a pretty gruesome alien abduction tale all at once. Plus it's got some solid humor and an amazing final shot. From the directors of the found footage horror flick Grave Encounters. Oh, also Michael Ironside pops up!(Director: Tommy Wirkola, Writers: Stig Frode Henriksen, Vegar Hoel, Tommy Wirkola)If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an axe, chain-sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, you'd have to assume that things couldn't get much worse. In Martin's case, that was only the beginning. From the director of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and (of course) Dead Snow.(Director: Levan Gabriadze, Writer: Nelson Greaves)While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. A first they think it's a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends' darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead. Told entirely from a young girl's computer desktop, Cybernatural redefines 'found footage' for a new generation of teens. From producer Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Wanted).(Director: Seth Grossman, Writer: Glenn Gers)Inner Demons follows an 'Intervention'-style reality show crew that films an episode about a sixteen-year old girl, a former A-student, who is fighting addiction but may in fact be suffering from something even more destructive: demonic possession. Director Seth Grossman was a producer on A&E's award winning series "Intervention," which certainly lends an air of authenticity to a gradually more unpredictable horror story.(Director: Lex Lybrand, Writer: Brandon Stroud)After several years of sexual dysfunction, Ada and her boyfriend, Calvin travel to her hometown in rural Oklahoma in the hopes of piecing together her fragmented childhood memories. They find their answers, but can they find their way back home? Starring WWE's Goldust & DC Comic's Jill Thompson.BRUCE CAMPBELL VS. The best movie trailers of the week: Comic-Con version

Welcome back to the best trailers of movies of the week, a column where we carefully the best new movie trailers that have arrived online last week.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Sin City: A Dame to Kill for

Having come out of Sin City with absolutely no desire for more, it was not surprising that the first two teaser for Sin City: A Dame to kill for is not strike much of a chord. Two run with the same style and tone, but I could connect to it then and that happens even now. However, the new red-band trailer shown at Comic-Con has something that the other two don't-an infectious beat. I still have little to no idea what happens in telling this, nor care, but in this case, that does not stop the trailer from being a blast to watch. The visuals are bold and well composed, and you're so good you cut "Babes" from the icy flowers piece winds up plays like an extremely attractive music video.

Mad Max: Fury Road

After all that growth (over 120 days of filming and almost two years of postproduction), who knew the Mad Max: Fury Road will wind up being one of the biggest winners at Comic-Con? After the Board of Warner Bros. Hall H, Mad Max is the only one I heard for the rest of the trip and now I know why –-this trailer is incredible!  Has got barely any dialogue even know exactly what happens, can effortlessly connect with Tom Hardy's character and then get a big thrill watching him get a little revenge. Also doesn't hurt that you can freeze-frame any random second from the piece and land on an absolutely stunning wall-worthy shot.

Horns

I have wondered how the horns could potentially work then that rather silly-looking yet of Daniel Radcliffe on the surface, and this trailer has the answer: with black comedy. Maybe this was obvious to those who've read the book of Joe Hill full length, but as someone who does not know the source of the material, the style of this trailer came as a good a pleasant surprise. The concept is ridiculous and it is almost impossible to Radcliffe seriously with the horns, but know this promo and this is what makes it work. If the full feature embraces humor alike, this could be loads of fun in the dark, perhaps in the style of Jennifer's body.

Tusk

We know that he'll be a little offbeat from the first day, but this trailer, in fact, do just the opposite by horns. Michael parks nature is eccentric, to say the least, but this promo project approaches in a manner surprisingly grounded. Justin Long may be a little grating, but still comes across as a nice, normal guy, so when he finds himself in this extremely alarming situation, do you believe this and this makes it extremely unsettling even if there is not a single image category.

The Hobbit: the battle of five armies

When you have a rather short trailer with minimal story detail for what is bound to be another epic adventure, providing a solid feeling of tuna is absolutely crucial--and the first promo for the Hobbit: the battle of the five armies proves it. The combination of dialogue, video and music are so in sync, makes you feel the disaster all this war, destroying any hope for peace, before the fall issue on you. "I'll follow you, one last time?" your trailer does very well the risk ahead, and gives the whole weight of the world, leaving you very willing to answer and what will happen after the last item.

What is your favorite movie trailers of the week?

Comic "Galaxy Quest" revealed, followed by a feature film

Galaxy Quest Comic

Fans of Galaxy Quest have clamored for a sequel to the hilariously funny Star Trek spoof for years, and now I finally get their wish-not only the way you probably imagined.

IDW comics brings the group to the printed page in the upcoming comedy series Galaxy Quest: the journey continues. Nesmith captain of Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver Gwen DeMarco will live again thanks to Erik Burnham writer and artist Nacno Arranz, who have revealed plans for how the story would continue in the wake of the film. There is a spoiler for the movie there, if I have not managed to see it already.

"Well, at the end of the film the character of Tim Allen, Jason, used the OMEGA 13 device for resetting of time 13 seconds and to undo the catastrophic death of the crew. (Um... Sorry for the 15-year-old spoilers!) Messing with time. Perhaps hardest hit by the ship. If it was more widespread, certainly, most folks will only have a strong case of deja vu. But what if you changed something? I.e. we begin with. Is the reason that a new race-– called the Drythans--seek them out and say, ' something screwed up. Fix It. "

"As a joke, I played with the conceit of how many sequels reuse some beats from their predecessor, when we present the cast in a similar way to the way it originally was introduced in the movie. If someone can post the show without much to say, but it still makes me chuckle ... Everyone from the movie will be back. I even requested to include Brandon, the role played by Justin Long, so we got everyone. There will be a new race of aliens, too. "

This sounds pretty great – and if the tone of the movie can pin the Burnham, this may be a worthy sequel to one of the largest cult classic 90s.

However, if the idea of a comic based sequel doesn't thrill you, then maybe the potential for an actual film will.

Galaxy Quest crew

MTV's Jordan Hoffman recently shared an amazing oral history of the original film. In it, he reveals how the cast would like to do a sequel. Tim Allen still supports that scenario that exists.

"There's a continuum somewhere. It is written, but I haven't really gotten a straight answer for this, but Hollywood is a very strange part. It is none of my business. "

Screenwriter Robert Gordon is not quite so eloquent on the subject, Hoffman says that "on the record, which certainly has ideas for a sequel." then goes from the story, making the nerds everywhere salivate just may be what these ideas. Hoffman does not spill beans, obviously.

While there is a big difference between having a cast and writer ready to make a sequel and actually getting the work to the screen, the fact that people are even talking about another Galaxy search 15 years after the original version of the film is fascinating.

What do you guys think? Are you ready for more Galaxy Quest? What you want to see in a sequel? Weigh in below.

Watch the movie the Marvel Universe threaten to Thanos in phase 1 & 2: a look back

In 2008, Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures very risking by releasing Iron Man, set into motion the plan to create a film substance that would either success or failure. Although there have been some rough spots, phase I finished with a resounding success Joss Whedon The Avengers, officially creating the universe continuity, the most that have ever seen the comic book movies. Movie Marvel Universe was born. But where is the birth, is certainly a death; and where is death ... is Thanos!

By Mark Ruffalo Twitter feed we got fairly harmless, but a sincere message of gratitude from the man behind the massive green angry Monster himself. Unbeknownst to anyone, who has not been to Comic Con, this video contained a clear view Thanos on the throne, complete teasing section premonitions dialogue. Fortunately, it looks like Ruffalo Marvel had permission to release the goods this time.

This video outside of the guardians of The Galaxy, is the first clear look and sound that we have from Josh Brolin Thanos! Just when you thought that the video end to the epic moment of rockets to be demonstrated again, Marvel comes with a sinister lover's death, he promised "to bathe in the blood of starways [our heroes]." If you are a condensation phase I and II into a trailer that sells the high points of the mythos, as well as sell so strongly that you had the guardians of the Galaxy have no choice but to buy tickets immediately after the video, this is the way to do it.

While other companies try to turn off the leaks of all shapes and sizes, Marvel has a reverse strategy and embraced the leak's visage of Thanos. In fact, just sold me on the movie even more to see that clip and it makes me wonder just what kind of danger phase 3 will have for the guardians of the Galaxy, as well as The Avengers. Also, one last fun fact about Thanos, before we go: remember, a few months back when Kevin Feige and Business Week teased a character on the throne of the rocket propulsion and how this actor's identity should be kept secret? The children, it was a story about how Business Week met Josh Brolin Thanos!

And you can with it, and when you see that the guardians of the Galaxy in the theaters this weekend! I have to say, though, as much as I love this video, there is one very big nitpick I have with her. If you want to leave with Thanos ' ominous words ringing in their ears, have fun and enjoy the movie! But if you want to find out whether one of your nitpicks (and I know that you have at least a handful of) with my singular matches nitpick with this video, then click on some extra shifts on page 2.

Jay Roach's Trumbo Looks To Write John Goodman Into The Picture

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
John Goodman has been pretty busy in the past couple of years, and he's showed no signs of slowing. In addition to being one of the voices bringing Autobots to life in Transformers: Age Of Extinction, he's signed on for the Bad Robot science fiction thriller Valencia, as well as a remake of the classic Kenny Rodgers movie The Gambler. What more could a prestigious actor of his degree want on their upcoming production slate? Answer: a movie that has "award nominee" written all over it, with Bryan Cranston and Helen Mirren already signed on to keep them company.

The Wrap announced that Goodman is talking to director Jay Roach to join his upcoming biopic, Trumbo, which tells the story of blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. The scribe behind such films as Spartacus and Papillon, Trumbo was demonized for being at one point Communist, as well as his refusal to testify before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. As if exile from the Hollywood film business under his own name wasn't enough, Trumbo also served 11 months in prison for refusing to give information, which yielded a contempt of court conviction.

Sources say that John Goodman is possibly being in talks to play Frank King, a film producer who still hired Dalton Trumbo to work for him during his tenure on the blacklist. The Wrap talks about this film reuniting two cast members of Ben Affleck's best picture winner Argo, seeing as Bryan Cranston is playing Dalton Trumbo himself, but the fact is the two men didn't share a scene together in the film. Which is a damned shame, too, because both men played colorful characters who would have gotten along quite well. Despite the dour tone of the source material, this pairing seems to hint that Trumbo just might have a darkly comic edge to temper the more depressing bits of the film.

It has also been confirmed that fellow co-star Helen Mirren will be playing the infamous Hedda Hopper, a gossip reporter who was more than fine with Trumbo's exclusion. John Goodman's addition to the cast has turned Trumbo into a veritable murderer's row of talent, which also includes director Jay Roach. The man who started his career with such fare as the Austin Powers and Meet The Parents franchises has graduated to politically charged fare such as the underrated The Campaign and the well regarded Game Change; and we're all the better for it.

While there's no deal signed to bring John Goodman into the fold for Trumbo, there's little reason to think that the established actor would not take the offer. There's also no production schedule or release date mentioned, so it's safe to assume that the production could end up starting sometime next year. If that holds true, you're probably looking at a Fall 2014/Winter 2015 release window to capitalize on the awards frenzy of the year. As always, we'll keep an eye out for further updates.

Guardians Of The Galaxy End Credits Sequence Explained

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
Marvel Studios has become known for a lot of things over the last six years, but perhaps one of their most crowd-pleasing habits is the inclusion of special post-credits sequences at the end of their movies. Sometimes they?re used to tease future events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and sometimes their just for fun ? but they?re pretty much all very entertaining. Their latest film, James Gunn?s Guardians of the Galaxy, is no different, and contains one of the best post-credits sequences yet.

SPOILER WARNING: The rest of this article contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy, both revealing what?s going on in the end credits sequence and explaining the events that led up to it. If you haven?t seen the film yet, please read on at your own risk.

As the credits come to an end, we are once again transported back to Knowhere ? specifically the interior of the Collector?s museum. The establishment is still a complete disaster zone after the explosion caused by Karina grabbing the Infinity stone, and the owner isn?t doing so well himself. Surrounded by broken equipment and boxes, the Collector sits on the ground with a bandage on his head and a dejected look on his face. As he takes a sip from a strange looking green glass, Cosmo ? the dog in the astronaut costume from earlier in the film ? comes wandering on over and begins to lick the Collector?s face.

This doesn?t get any kind of response out of the ancient alien, but he turns his head as a voice comes from off camera, saying, "What do you let him lick you like that for?" The camera turns and reveals none other than Howard the Duck, sitting in the middle of one of the shattered cages. Like the Collector, he has a drink of his own, and takes a sip. He may have said something else as well, but the theater I was in was filled with too much laughter for me to understand what it was.

Those of you who were paying extremely close attention to Guardians of the Galaxy may already know that this isn?t actually the first time that Howard the Duck shows up in the movie. In the scene where Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket and Groot enter the Collector?s museum and are introduced to the owner, you can see the alien talking bird sitting in the cage suspended directly above the Collector?s head. He briefly turns towards the camera and then looks away. It?s definitely "blink and miss it," so it?s nice that he got some extra time in the spotlight with the final scene.

Marvel Studios has a long history of using post-credits sequences to tease their upcoming projects, and while this instance is probably more of a gag than anything, there is still a part of me that?s hoping that the idea of a new Howard The Duck movie isn?t entirely impossible. The problem is that the last time the character got his own solo film ? back in 1986 ? the result ended up being a complete disaster both critically and at the box office.

Howard The Duck

Bad as the big screen history is, though, the original source material is fantastic satire, and this Guardians of the Galaxy appearance may be exactly the shot in the arm Howard needs to propel a positive future. Even if Marvel Studios doesn?t make a separate Howard The Duck movie, however, I?m at least holding out hope that he will get an expanded role in the officially announced Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy is in theaters now.

Yikes! Instead of the guardians of the Galaxy Theatre could

When Marvel announced their plans for the first time to create a movie, the guardians of the Galaxy, there were some concerns that the public might be too familiar with the lesser-known comic book property to show up in crazy numbers necessary to achieve profits. Based on the early buzz and pre-sale tickets, it seems, a ton of people fought over the confusion and got on board. Unfortunately, that doesn t mean there weren't a few more smaller problems t confusion, as evidenced by a theatre, which mistakenly showed the rise of the guardians of the place.

With the truth. According to Kotaku, a theater in New Jersey delayed the superhero film, James Gunn, which debuted yesterday with the underwhelming, the two year old DreamWorks Animation film. No wonder people in the theater were less than thrilled.

Take a look at this poor girl with the mood of the rise and fall based on her tweets

So what could be wrong? Well at the time due to the fact that this story has gone viral, projectionists and theatrical works, many of the talk. It seems to Rise Of The guardians showed up recently as part of some children with afternoon clubs. More than likely someone identified as a digital file in your hard disk as a "Guardian". Then, whether he was tapping into the film they saw Guardsmen already on the list, and never mind the correct film recording into the system. As a result, when it became clear the problem, there was no easy solution to fix the t, especially because other midnight screenings were probably full.

It sounds like a comedy of errors too strange and random, but exactly the same problem actually happened in Richmond, Virginia, too. Look at that man with the very famous Tweet

Long story short, it's a great reminder of all the work in the field of theatre that always stands for a couple of minutes to check. When people go to see movies, they tend to be very passionate and invested, in particular as regards the opening weekend. Nobody wants bad energy and bad press associated with not giving them what they want. In this case what he missed was really good.
